GAME WON'T WORK?
Although we try our best to make sure our games work
on a wide range of computer systems, you may find the odd game
doesn't work on yours. There are three main reasons for this...
1. YOU MAY NEED TO UPGRADE TO THE LATEST FLASH PLUG-IN
The majority of our games are written in flash format. This requires
a special plug-in to be loaded into your browser to allow them
to play. The latest version of this Plug-in (version 7) is available
to download free by clicking HERE.
Just follow the instructions and everything will be updated automatically.
2. TOO MANY PEOPLE ARE PLAYING THE GAME AT THE SAME TIME
If a game has loaded but is playing very slowly or doing "weird"
things, it may be because a large number of people are trying
to play it at the same time. If so, try playing a different game
for a while and come back to it later.
3. YOUR COMPUTER SYSTEM IS SIMPLY NOT COMPATIBLE
If updating the flash plug-in doesn't work and you're still
unable to play a certain game, it's probably down to a conflict
with your own computer system. In which case it's virtually impossible
for us to help you out from this end. Just try playing a different
game instead - there's plenty to go at!

keeps going until you lose all your lives.

Doctor: Here's a few handy tips, Fern...
1. At the start of the level, jump down onto the
middle rock.
2. Jump through the carrots and land on the lower
left rock and collect the carrots.
3. Drop down onto the moving platform and move to
the left edge to collect the carrots then walk to the middle
of the platform to jump up and collect the carrots in the
middle of the screen.
4. Move to as close to the right edge of the moving
platform as you dare, then wait until it's as close as it
gets to the exit and jump for it!

ARFER'S
CARROT RUN
Hi Games Doctor,
I just can't seem to get past level 2 on Arfer's Carrot
Run. It's sooooo hard.. Please please please give me some
advice. I'm a big fan of u!!! From Leah.
Games Doctor: The trick is to drop down onto the
first platform and carefully nudge your way to the right
hand edge of it, then hit the left hand arrow key immediately
after jumping for the carrots. If you time it correctly
you'll land back on the platform. You can also wait until
the lower platform has movede across to the far right
of the screen before jumping. That way, if you miss landing
on the top platform, you've still a chance of landing
on the lower one. |
BELLA'S
PIG ADVENTURE
Hi Games Doctor,
I Don't get Bella's Pig Adventure. Can You Help Me? From
Oliwazeyah.
Games Doctor: The idea of the game is to help Bella
escape from the pig sty by exploring the various rooms,
collecting various items and finding the exit to each level.
To get the ball rolling, here's how to find the peashooter
on level 1...
1. From the start of the level, move down to the
second room.
2. Avoid the spinning guards and grab the peas.
3. Move down again to the next room. If you need
to replenish your energy, this is where you'll find the
medi-pack.
4. Move into the left hand room and collect the peashooter
from the corner.
You now have the peashooter and the peas which means you
can shoot the guards by pressing the SHIFT key. Now go and
explore the rest of the level!

BLOCK BASHER
DEAR GAMES DOCTOR,
In last month's edition of Games Doctor you asked if anyone
had completed the game, Block Basher. I have completed Block Basher
and my tip is to try going for one colour at a time, starting
at the top. That's how I completed it.
BLEEP'S
DANGEROUS JOURNEY
Hi Games Doctor,
I can not pass the level on Bleep's Journey. How do I do
it?
Games Doctor: The game is split into parts.
The first part is to try and get across the road and onto
the riverbank without being hit by a car. Just bide your
time until a decent gap appears in the traffic and make
a run for it.
Your second task is to make your way across the river to
the 5 "bases" at the top of the screen. You can
only cross the river by jumping from one moving log to the
other. If you land in the water, you lose a life.
Once you've managed to guide a frog into each of the five
bases, you move onto the next level.
NOTE: It's much more difficult to reach the two outside
bases than the middle three, so I tend to try and get those
two out of the way first.

I am having trouble on breackout. When I wanted to catch the ball,

I've just tried the game myself and it seems to be working fine.
Maybe it was just having an off day!
CAT GOT THE CREAM
Dear Games Doctor,
On Cat got the Cream it always gets smaller and smaller.
Does the game ever end?
Games Doctor - Er... no... it just keeps getting smaller.

On cat got the cream I saw someone saying that the game never
ends. How do you see the maze if it keeps getting smaller?
Games Doctor - You buy a bigger monitor or a machine that
can shrink you down to the size of an ant. Either is acceptable.
CEEFER'S
DANGEROUS JOURNEY
Dear Games Doctor,
I am really stuck on Ceefers journey . i always get
across to the other side but when i jump on to a log it
says i've died. I dont understand what im supposed to do.
Games Doctor - The idea of the game is to get Ceefer
across to the red targets on the other side of the
river. It's tricky, but then again, it wouldn't be dangerous
if it was easy would it?

TILES 2
Dear Games Doctor,
Hi! Please can you tell me how to play chinese tiles 2.
When i click on a tile it says tile not free.
Games Doctor - You can only removes pairs of tiles
that are not "blocked in". A tile is blocked
in when there are other tiles, on the same level, on either
side of it (see pic for example).

CONCENTRATION
Dear Games Doctor,
I'm stuck on concentration. I just don't get it. Could you help
me? Frances.
Games Doctor - The idea is to copy exactly what the computer
does (like the "simon says" game). At the start of the game, the
computer will flash a random light (and noise) There will then
be a short pause and you have to click on that same light with
your mouse. The computer will then flash two lights, one after
the other, and you must then press the same two lights in order.
Then three lights, four lights and so on. The game is over when
you press the wrong sequence or take too long thinking about it.
CRUMPET'S
GREAT ESCAPE. EPISODE 10, LEVEL 3
Dear Games Doctor,
I just don't know how to complete level 3, episode 10 on
Crumpets Great Escape! I have tried and tried but I just
cant do it! Please help. From Ayisha.
Games Doctor: The two most difficult parts of this
level are the big jump at the start of the level and avoilding
the skulls and spider at the top of the level.
In order to complete the first jump, position Crumpet on
the very edge of the block before jumping.
When you get to the top of the level, wait on the block
shown and jump over the 2 skulls, then drop down one block
and jump over the spider to the exit. |

CRUMPET
TO THE RESCUE
Hiya Games Doctor,
I need help with Crumpet to the rescue 1, level one. Please
please please tell me how to solve my problem before i explode
with confusion!!!.
Games Doctor: Thankfully I can prevent your impending
explosion with these handy tips...
1. At the start of the level, make your way down
to position 1.
2. Wait until the skull has just passed over your
head then quickly up and along to position 2.
3. From this position you can take your time collecting
the diamond and heart and returning to the same position.
4. Wait until the ghost has just passed you and make
a dash for the exit, jumping over the spider along your
way. |
DEEFER'S BONE HUNT
Dear Games Doctor,
When I play Deefers Bone Hunt I can never get on to the second
level, Could you give me a few tips?
Games Doctor - Here's a few general tips... The hearts
turns your enemys into pants for a short while and you can catch
them for extra points. If you're getting cornered, you can use
the teleports in each corner of the grid to zap to safety. It'll
probably take you a few goes to get the hang of it but you'll
soon be zipping through the levels.
FEED THE PENGUIN
Dear Games Doctor,
On Feed the Penguin, when you get the thing to stop
the baddies from getting you ,they never go back to normal therefore
it is no challenge and i find it very hard to not get those dots!!!
Games Doctor - After all the emails I've received from people
saying the games are too hard, it makes a pleasant change to hear
from someone who thinks a game's too easy! I always enjoy a game
of Feed the Penguin after playing our Pacman game - it gives me
a chance to get my own back!
FRIDGE INVADERS
Dear Games Doctor,
My key board doesn't shoot fast on my favourite game, fridge
invaders. Can you help please?
Games Doctor - It's not actually your keyboard's fault. The
thing is, you can only shoot one laser bolt at a time. So each
shot has to either hit something or disappear off the top of the
screen before you can fire another.

Dear Games Doctor,
I have managed to complete Hexagons. My secret is dat
evry time i moved i took somethin except on my first 2 goes. Good
luck to everyone out dere tryin to win it. Sugar babe.
Games Doctor - Thanks for the tip Sugar Babe. It's good to
hear that someone has actually beaten the game.
KEEPY UPPY
DEAR GAMES DOCTOR,
I love your games, but keepy uppy is SO hard! The most
I've got is 4 in a row. But even when I move Footy Nut's head
straight in the centre of the ball (or the other way round) it
goes off to the side. Where on his head are you meant to hit it?
Games Doctor - You've got to try and imagine where
his nose would be (if he had one) - that's where you need to head
the ball. I know it's difficult, but if you can get your first
header to go fairly straight up in the air, you have less distance
to move your mouse to head the next one, and the less distance
you move, the easier it is to head the ball in the right spot.
With a bit of practice I managed to get up to 14 - but then again,
I am a bit of a clever dick!
KEEPY
UPPY CHEAT
Hi Games Doctor,
To get the ball going repeatedly whilst playing right click, press
rewind then forwards and forwards again. hope I helped. Steven.

word for it though, because the mouse on my mac has only got the

MARBLE MAYHEM
Dear Games Doctor,
You know the Marble Mayhem? Well whenever i click on the marble
it gets stuck on my mouse, then when i reset the marble game the
marble is still on my mouse. What can i do?
Games Doctor - Wipe it off your mouse with a damp cloth.
No, seriously, what you need to do is click once on the marble
you want to move, then move your mouse over the hole you want
to drop it into, and it should just automaticly drop into it (you
don't need to press the mouse button again to drop it).
MOTHER'S DAY MADNESS
Dear Games Doctor,
I can not get past level 2 on mothers day madness. Please help!

Games Doctor - The trickiest part is right at the start
of the level. You must make sure you don't fall off the first
platform when you enter the screen (if you do fall off and land
at the bottom of the screen, there's no escape and you'll have
to start the game again). Now all you have to do is wait until
the moving platfrom is dirctly below you and drop onto it. You
can now travel across the screen and drop down onto the exit platform.
Or if you're feeling really brave, jump up onto the middle platform
and collect the flowers for extra bonus points first.
PACMAN
Dear Games Doctor,
In Pacman, I can never get all the white dots because the ghosts
allways get me when I run out of the hearts. It's really hard.
Have u got any tips?
Games Doctor - Try and clear as many dots as you can without
using the power-ups (hearts). And when you do use them, try and
wait until all the ghosts are quite close to you. That way you
can turn round and get them quite quickly. Not only will this
earn you extra bonus points, but the ghosts will also take a while
to get back to the middle of the screen, leaving you more time
to collect those pesky dots. It's also worth making use of the
side tunnels if the ghosts are hot on your tail. You'll reappear
on the opposite side of the screen to the ghosts and have a bit
more breathing space for dot collection.
PESKY PENGUINS
Dear Games Doctor,
Do you have any tips for Pesky penguins? Because i
always get killed really easily.
Games Doctor - Ok, here's a few tips. Thew trick is
to use your "ZAPS" and "TELEPORTS"
wisely. If you find yourself surrounded by penguins, press the
ZAP button to change them into tree. Once they've turned
into trees, you can try and guide the remaining penguins into
the trees (if they touch one they will turn into a tree too!)
If you've run out of ZAPS and find yourself surrounded,
press the TELEPORT button to teleport to another part of
the screen. If you manage to turn all the penguins into trees
you will advance to the next level. Hope that helps.
PETZ
CANTEEN
Hi Games Doctor,
On Petz Canteen i'm confused because it says that the food
will come along the conveyer belt and when you click on
it, it'll fall into the petz mouth, but no food ever does
come past my conveyer belt - just the monkey! What do i
do? Roanne.
Games Doctor: To drop the food on the conveyor belt
you need to click on the food icons in the corner of the
screen. Once they're moving along the coveyor belt, click
on them when they're directly over a Petz head to give them
the food. |

because I always push my sheep of the field. Please help

Games Doctor - Your best bet is to try and manoeuvre
all the same type of petz together in the centre of the
field. Once they're all bunched together it's easier to
guide them into their pens and there's less chance of them
escaping from the field. |

THE PIGEON
Hi Games Doctor,
I
really love the new game Picasso the Pigeon but it's just so hard!
I managed to get onto level 3 but there's too much food, I cant
think! Also, I can't use the Tab key to clear the food and I'm
not sure why, unless I'm using the wrong key. Where is the Tab
Key on the keyboard? And also, what is Picasso shooting out of
his mouth? I hope its not bird poo! Luv Zainab
Games Doctor - First of all, the TAB key is about half way up the far left hand
side of your keyboard - its got a symbol similar to this on it...

Plus, it's chewed up bits of tissue paper that Picasso is shooting
out of his mouth. If it was bird poo he'd have to be flying backwards!

Games Doctor: It's all about making a mental note
of where the spinners are - The best tactic is to take things
slowly and position yourself just in front of a spinner.
Then as soon as it disappears, quickly run past it. Use
this method to get past each spinner on the level.

On
the Retro Arcade Games, when you go on the Ping Pong game, i have
a hint. at the start, when you throw the "ball", when
it comes back to you make sure the ball hits the very top of you,
and leave your bat (the line) standing there. Im giving you 100%

I have been on a new game where you are a tank and must
destroy space ship things that come out after you. When i went
on i turned to face the space ships and i shot a rocket at one
but when i tried to shoot another rocket at one nothing was happening!
I dont know why! What am i doing wrong?
Games Doctor - The problem is, you can only fire one rocket
at once. So the rocket you've just fired must hit something before
you can fire another one.

On
Skull Dodger you can win straight away instead of playing, by
right clicking on the flower bed and pressing play. Then do this

I
have a problem on slam dunk (Clinton Cards Bubblegum Zone) because
on level two, when the net starts moving I don't know how to put
the ball in! please reply back as soon as possible. I would really

Games Doctor - Well
it's tricky, but by no means impossible. You need to aim slightly
ahead of the basket to allow for the movement. It takes a bit
of practice but you'll soon get the hang of it.
SLIDING PUZZLES
Dear Games Doctor,
im
having a trouble with sliding puzzles. I can never do it. Do you
have any tips on how to complete it? I was hoping u could show
me and everybody else who maybe stuck on this a demonstration.

Games Doctor - There's
no set method of completing the puzzles Sabz, but here's what
I do...
I usually start by getting the top left hand corner in position
first, then work my way across and down, positioning one tile
at a time. It gets a bit confusing when you're down to the last
2 rows, but I usually muddle my way through.

(or patience as it's sometimes called) is a our version of a classic
old one player card game. The games has been around for years
and I'm sure there's somebody in your family who could show you

SUPER
GRAN 2
Hi Games Doctor,
I
have a problem with the game Super Gran 2 i cant fully shoot the
cakes and crates properly to get more lives pleaaaaaaaaase can
you help me?!
Games Doctor: Here's
a couple of gerneral tips for Super Gran 2.
1. Try
to position Super Gran as far up the screen as you can, then move
backwards while firing until you reach the bottom of the screen
- then move forwards again. This will give you more chance to
fly over the power-ups before they pass you.
2. If
you hold the SPACE BAR down you will fire a constant stream of
bullets. If you do this while zig-zagging left and right across
the screen, you should hit the enemies and crates before they
reach you.

Dear Games Doctor,
Just
some advice on Super Santa - always go for the tallest chimneys
first. Ur least likely 2 die that way. Also, a Question: It looks
as though the prezzies are blowing up the chimneys! Is that sposed
2 happen or is it just my computer? Are they bombs or something?

for the tip, Hat. As for the prezzies - Yes they do explode...
but they're only small explosions so rest assured, there's no
danger of anyone getting injured. It'd be like a medium sized
hailstone landing on your bonce, or a large dollop of pigeon poop.
SURF DUDE
Dear Games Doctor,
Surf dude is really easy on the first level and then the second
level is really hard! A whole load of penguins and ketchup bottles
come out of nowhere and start attacking and there's so much cheese.
Please help me from Ailia.
Games Doctor - I find the best tactic is to move Surf Dude
close to the bottom of the the screen, then reverse as the nasties
come at you. That way you get a bit more time to plan a route
through everything. But I have to agree with you. It is rock hard!
TETRIS
Dear Games Doctor,
I do not understand tetris.
Games Doctor - Well it's a good job I do then, isn't
it? Use the left and right arrow keys to move the falling
blocks, and the spacebar to rotate them. Your aim is to
arrange the falling blocks into horizontal lines at the
bottom of the screen. Each time you make a complete horizontal
line, the blocks in that line will disappear and the remaining
blocks will drop down. The game is over when the falling
blocks reach the top of the screen. |
